Heinz von Herzogen is a lavishly long-haired, large 12-month-old German Shepherd.  Based on Heinz's physical appearance and demeanor, it's quite possible he is a rare breed of Shiloh Shepherds who are long sought after for their beauty, intelligence and overall ability to be amazing companions.  Heinz is larger and taller than your average shepherd with a longer body.  Shiloh breeders usually have very long waiting lists because they are so uncommon.  We stumbled upon such a treasure when we rescued Heinz.  Heinz has a unique spirit and soul that has the ability to speak right to your heart.  He doesn't have this connection with everyone right from the start.  He is a little shy and needs someone who will be patient with him who will give him time to trust them and once that happens, Heinz is sure to capture your heart forever and you will also capture his.  Heinz gets along with other dogs and takes treats so gently you don't even notice it's missing from your hand.  He walks so well on a leash you have to turn around to see if he's still there.  He never pulls and prances effortlessly right by your side.  Walking him is such a dream.  Heinz will make such a devoted companion to that special someone who is willing to be patient with him.  Come meet him in person and you'll see that he's really one in a million!
